QT Animation codec fields question exporting HDV
Hi,
I am am editing HDV upper field footage in Premiere Pro CS3. I like to export shorter projects to the Quicktime Animation codec and then use Episode Pro to encode the final product. The problem is that the movie export settings for the animation codec default to Lower Field in the export menu window. Does anyone know if this is the correct or best setting for HDV material. My tests on this matter have not worked out well so I could use some tips if anyone else uses this workflow. Thanks! -Jeff

When importing a clip via Animation Codec with lower-field into a HD sequence you should notice under the filter tab of that clip in the sequence that it applies its own shift-field filter. Usually set to +1. Normally the graphics come out looking fine with no problems.
