sequence settings

I have created two sequences, one for wedding, and one for reception. If I copy & paste the completed reception back to the wedding sequence and export into two different files as quicktime files, the file that was on the timeline (not copy & paste) shows up correctly as 16x9 in DVD studio Pro, the other file (the one I copied to the other sequence) shows up as a 4x3 file in DVD studio pro. both sequence settings are the same and the export setting are the same. This has happened twice, must be missing something in the setup. Anybody have any solutions before I redo the entire wedding.

latest version of final cut pro installed. It is also hd footage converted to sd when I bring it to the timeline

Thanks,

Charlie

Aspect Ratio

Charlie,

Maybe the problem is in DVDSP not FCP. Check your properties on your track in DVDSP (Command-Option I) and change the aspect to 16x9. See if this helps. Just a thought.

also on your quicktime settings you have 16x9 and 4x3 option.

FCE Similar Problem

... I am having a similar problem in FCE. I do however have different sequence settings, however, some clips transfer to the timeline as 16:9 just fine and some transfer as 4:3 even if it was part of the same footage and captured the same.

Here is one thing that worked on one clip. Load the 4:3 into the viewer (double click from timeline) then click Veiw/ MatchFrame /master the clip in the viewer popped back to 16;9 but then I had to re insert it into the timeline in place of the other clip...a little tedious....but I am sure the bride is ok with it.

if that doesn't work try View/Matchframe/ source file
