editing time base final cut
editing time base
if im shooting 50i on my sony v1 do i need to change the editing timebase in the sequence setting to 50 or 25???? im confused would love an answer for this |

50i is 25. Or to put it another way 50i (interlaced frames) is equal to 25 (fps - frames per second). There are 2 fields per frame so... 2 fields X 25 fps = 50i

Luke: if you're recording in HDV at 50i, you should be using the HDV 1080i50 Preset. The 25 preset is for progressive scan material.
