Best FCP HDV 50i/25p

I am working on a project which has a combination of 50i and 25p footage shot on a Canon XH-A1.

I want to output 25p content but I am not sure on the best workflow. One method I am using is setting the timeline to progressive under the advanced settings with a field dominance of none. This way I seem to be able to have a progressive timeline with the 50i footage deinterlaced.

I want to check with people here to see if there is a better method of doing this. I am afraid that the interlaced footage on the progressive timeline might not be producing the best results.

i capture 25p but have always had the field set to upper, is this wrong then for 25p???
