I can't hear captured audio with video, FCP?
How do I monitor audio while I capture through firewire from a Sony Z1 on to a MBP.
I cant seem to hear any audio when capturing. After capturing an placing footage in timeline I can hear the captured audio. Need help with this one, I must have an incorrect setting somewhere. Simon |

With some flavours of HDV on some iterations of FCP, audio preview during capture is disabled. I'm running FCP6.0.3 under OS10.4.11 and audio is disabled on my system during capture.

If you do have a FC version that allows audio monitoring not sure which FC versions due allow audio monitoring while you are uploading footage. Check under "View" menu at the bottom under "Audio Playback" how the audio is playing back. This can change after a crash or trashing preferences.

Thanks for the info.
I captured Video & Audio yesterday and was able to monitor audio. What i'm missing is the preview box to tick in the clip settings capture capture window. Any ideas how to get this back? Regards |
