Transitions on multiple clips at DVinfo.net

Using FCS 2 and wondering if there is a way to simply add a cross dissolve to several clips at once, all on the same track. Thanks.

That's an easy one Will...
First up select the transition you want to use and make sure it is the default transition, then move your playhead to the beginning of the first clip you want to apply the transition to, then highlight all the clips you want to add the transition to, then drag them to the canvas and hold the mouse button down until the overlay appears, then let go on overwrite with transition. You'll need to make sure that your clips all have sufficient handles or this won't work the way you want it to.

Thanks Nate. Very easy. I've been using FCP for a long time and never read about or discovered that trick.
