ProRes HQ to DVD
Hey all,
I've got my sequence edited and ready to burn to DVD, but my final discs look terrible. I think it's a field order issued but that's about it. Basically the motion looks stuttery and I'm seeing interlace lines and stuff like that. Here's my workflow... Edited the DV NTSC footage in FCP Grade in Color and render out ProRes HQ Brought that back into FCP Export QT reference Movie QT Ref into Compressor where I added the DVD Best Quality 90 min preset Author and burn in DVDSP The sequence settings in FCP are correct for ProRes and is set to Lower Field First, as is all the footage in the timeline. I'm guessing my problems are coming from my Compressor settings... Can anyone offer advice in regards to what settings to use with this type of footage to make it look correct on a DVD? Thanks in advance!

It was a Sony DVCam, not sure of the exact model, which I captured using the DV NTSC 48Khz preset, then i told Color to render the clips out as ProRes HQ
