VisualHub R.I.P.

Hey All,

Just went to purchase a new license of VisualHub today and I got this:

Techspansion

It's pretty sudden, so no news yet about releasing the source code, etc.

Anyone have any good ideas about other programs that can be used with Steve's iLife '08 workflow?

Hoi

I don't see how this topic relates to JVC Everio camcorders... which forum should I move this to?

Sorry Chris,

VisualHub was part of a workflow that Steve Mullen recommended for the JVC GZ-HD7 and iLife '08, so that's where I gravitated first....

I see -- this news should have been posted to that specific thread.

It's a shame but the sad fact is shareware software development is a good way to go out of business.

So wait...

..I cannot purchase Visual Hub now? You're kidding me. I bought Steve's manual, downloaded Mpeg Streamclip, bought iLife '08, bought FCS 2, and now I can't get Visual Hub to complete the process?

Steve-any ideas for a new workaround in light of this development?

VisualHub is used by HD7 owners as a fast way to convert .TOD files to .MPEG files without decompressing and recompressing. For iMovie 08 users, this is faster than using MPEGStreamclip. You can still use MPEGStreamClip.

The VisualHub Support Form continues to operate:

You should also Google "VisualHub" because you'll be able to track news on VisualHub.

PS: I'll post this on the HD7 thread because VisualHub is used only by HD7 owners.
