Launching Motion

I have lost my Motion icon to launch the application.

I believe this could have been deleted.

How do I retrieve this to be able to launch the application?

Thanks

You mean it is gone from your Applications folder? You will have to reinstall it from the Final Cut Pro or Studio DVDs.

Yeh it has gone from my Applications folders.

So I'm left with the option of reinstalling it again?

Yep.

I am the mega boof head who did it.

I remember I moved the icon from the applications folder to the desktop to be able to launch the program faster and then deleted it latter on thinking that it was only a short cut pointing back to the applications folder.

That's what the Dock is for! Yeah the only way to do it is to reinstall. You can just choose to reinstall Motion, you don't have to do the entire Studio.
