FCP To color at DVinfo.net

Alright what did I do wrong?
I edited a piece and did the send to Color function Timeline in color looks good expect one shot. Did the color correction and then sent to render. Color is rendering the whole clip not just the piece that is on the timeline. Is this how it is suppose to work or did I miss something?

example:
I used a 10 seconds of a file that was 2 minutes long it is now rendering the whole 2 minutes.

What step did I miss?

It is going to render all night now just want to know for the future.
