Does anyone know how to do this?

I am looking to make a graphic that is similar to the one on the bottom of this video.

I was hoping someone knows how to do this. I have Photoshop CS3 Extended.

Couldn't get it to load, can you take a screenshot and attach it here?

I am by no means a graphics guy, but I can at least give you some help to get you started and perhaps someone else can chime in with a better way. If the graphic you want is static (as this one is) then you are wanting to create a file in Photoshop with an alpha channel that you can lay over your video:

1. Create your graphic with transparent background
2. Merge Visible Layers
3. Create a Black layer behind the graphic
4. Set Selection (Apple Click on the graphic layer)
5. Go to channels and Click on “save selection as a channel” (The small box with circle inside) This creates an alpha channel
6. Save as a TIFF with alpha channel and turn off layers.

Hope that might be what you are looking for. If you are going to DVD you may want to put a slight blur (I put a .3 gaussian blur) on the graphic to cut down on jitter)

Andy
