titling?
Okay so maybe i'm slow but here I go. I'm trying to do a basic title in FCP...i have the whole studio 2 bundle and I can't seem to find a good way to do this. I want to have the title of the film im making on top of some of the footage during the intro of it. Like most films are. Is there a simple way to do this?! I'm going through motion and live type and I'm all confused. If someone could explain a simple way, or atleast point me in the right direction, i would be very thankful

In the Browser, click on the Effects tab. Open the Video Generators folder, then go to Text. The basic text tool is called Text (go figure.) It allows you to type text and format with font, color, bold, italic, size, etc. Formatting is applied to all the text. Double click Text and it will load in the Canvas, click the Settings tab to change the text. Simply drag it to V2 over top of your video in V1, and it will be displayed over top of your video. I suggest applying a drop-shadow to text over video so it is easier to read.
