60i in 24p timeline

Please Help!

I will be using FCP to edit my next project. It is a documentary shot on XDCAM EX 1080/24p. I have also been asked to cut in footage from DVD sources. How can I include the 29.97 footage from the DVD into the 24p timeline?
Thanks in advance.

I really think you should convert the footage to 24p, before putting it into your sequence. People may disagree as the newest Final Cut claims to support multiple types of video in one timeline. But I personally think you would be causing yourself a lot of problems that would waste a lot of time down the road.

Try processing the footage in Cinema Tools then importing the 24p resulting footage. Directly importing that footage might result in combing if it is interlaced.
