Long Promised Transferring Final Cut Footage pt 2
... and the second question is...:)
... okay I've transferred the footage from my old external hard drives to my new Intel computer's 8TB esata Raid 5 hard drive... and that took forever but seemed to work okay... ... now 1) ... when I transferred final cut pro stuff from the first old external hard drives to the big new external hard drive everything was fine but when I started to drag on drop all the final cut pro stuff from the second old external hard drive on to the big new external hard drive the computer wanted me to rename the second old external hard drive's set of render file folder, etc. because they had the same name as the files transfered over from the first old external hard drive (for example the file folder marked "render files", the file folder marked "auto render", "capture scratch," etc.) so I renamed the file folder "auto render files 500gb external 1" "capture scratch 500gb external 1" etc. Now to view all my old Final cut stuff seamlessly, do I need to drag all the files from inside the second and third "capture scratch" folder to the first or do I need to do something else? Many many tanks and winks if you have any advice:) |

You do not need to drag everything from the newly named folders to the first folder. Open your project and reconnect your media. All done.
