FCS1 and FCS2 Sony 24f/Canon 24f ?
Hello,
I'm running a JVC HD110 shooting 24p and editing on FCS1, capturing via Firestore with no issues... But I want to get a small KNOCK ABOUT camcorder that shoots 24p. Both Sony and Canon have some disposable cameras. Sony HVR-A1U and the Canon HV30. Both shoot 24f with different 24f schemes. I see no posts here questioning Sony's 24f, so either there is no problem, or no one is using it. Canon seems to have TWO schemes for 24f? One for the A1u 3chip line and the other for the HV10,20 and 30 single chip line? Is this true? Is it more difficult to use the Canon HV30 24f than the Sony HVR-A1U 24f inside of FCP (Studio 1?) My plan is using one of the above or similar camcorders maybe at most 20% of my footage for dangerous shots, or underwater shots etc... but I still don't want to have to deal with a huge conversion process. Or has anyone run across a AVH type of camcorder that shoots 24p that can cross convert from 1080i to 720p? thanks |
