No Batch Capture

FCP6 won't let me capture HD 30F from my A1. 'Capture Now' is possible but not batch. Why?

Batch capture is when you have media offline and need to recapture it or have timecode logs and need to just pop the tapes in as the computer prompts you. Since there isn't any timecode yet you are going to either set an in and out point for FCP to go by to start capturing your tape(this is "clip"). If you don't want to fast forward and rewind then you can just press capture now and press play on your camcorder/deck.
