Gain equivalent in FCP6
Hi:
I recorded a show with fixed gain of +6dB, but it needs boost another two stops or +6dB. Is there a filter in FCP6 equivalent to gain? I have tried fiddling with brightness and contrast but the result is horrible. Thanks, Erik |

Proc Amp, Levels and Gamma are all going to help you correct your footage (Effects > Video Filters > Image Control) ... as are the aptly named Color Correctors (Effects > Video Filters > Color Correction)
obviously the extent to which you can push the footage depends on the quality and format of the original ... for example, well shot footage from a RED Digital Cinema camera can be pushed to incredible extremes, but if you shot in less than ideal circumstances using a low quality and/or heavily compressed format then there will be technical limits to how much correction it will take without falling apart |

When I'm correcting "lighting" of video clips, I use the 3 way colour corrector exclusively in FCP.
