Frame-by-Frame Editing in Photoshop?

I have about 2"~60 frames of footage that I need to perform a little Photoshop clean-up on (I'm far more proficient editing in Photoshop than traditional post-production software). Is there a good way to send individual frames from a sequence in FCP to Photoshop and reintegrate them akin to how FCP handles Motion? I suspect I could output the frames in question as an image sequence, but for some reason that makes me oddly nervous - but for no good reason.
