Debating on getting a Kona card, your thoughts?

How's it going?
Well here's my situation my boss just got a PMW-EX1 and we're having some serious issues with a moiré effect and just the general appearance of the down convert from HD to SD. I've tried pretty much everything software wise, so now we're going to get a card and see if that helps clean up the down convert.
I am looking at either the 3 or the 3x and I just wanted to get some feed back on your experience with them. I am curios about Blackmagic's cards too.
Any help, suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
johnh

you;re problably better off with the LH model because its got all the analog ins and outs.

as for moire- where are you seeing it ? need more info. what are you trying to deliver too ? for example, if you are going to output to SD DVD or WEB a kona card won't do a thing for you because its providing video out and not doing anything for the computer display or mpeg2 encoding. what is your current video out device ?
