XL-H1 -> Final Cut Audio Problem
Bringing in Audio recorded through the XLR's on the Canon H1
I can hear it on the headphones and on the tape playback it plays on channel 3&4 or 1+3& 2+4 when I toggle the Audio Monitor Button on the H1 HDV 48 KHZ 16bit The Clip Settings Tab in the Log & Capture window only shows 2 stereo channels with a stereo toggle button (No Other Settings) I posted a version of this in the H1 forum in case it is an H1 question, Sorry Chris, if this is a cross - post Thanks, John |

I'm afraid that 2 channels of 48KHz audio is all you can get due to the limitations of the HDV spec., so your choices are to use the on-camera mic OR the XLR inputs. If you really need the on cam mic, your only option is to do dual system sound, recording your wireless/boom mics on a standalone audio recorder.

that's very unfortunate. I've had to digitize both sound and Video Separately - John |
