Final Cut Pro English Version
Wondering if people could enlighten me on the following.
I am working for a French Production Company who have moved over to Final Cut Pro. They have recently bought Final Cut Pro Studio 2 and have installed it on their workstations in French off course. I have will be working with them now and want to know if I install their version of Final Cut Pro Studio 2 can I install an English version? Does Final Cut Studio 2 come in language versions options on the one system or when one buys Final Cut Pro Studio 2 in French that is the only language available? Thanks |

All Apple pro apps come with all the language packs built-in; the language that is loaded during the installation process is determined by what the default language of the OS is. When you do a clean install of the OS, the first question it asks you is "what is the default language?". If French is the default for the OS, then FCS2 will load the French language packs. If English is the default language, then FCS2 will follow suit.

As Robert alluded, you can simply change the language of the app by changing the preferred language of the OS. Go into your System Preferences >> International pane >> Languages tab, and drag "English" to the top of the list. Any app launched thereafter will use English localisation (including the Finder app) Cheers Andy |
