how much storage do i need?
sorry for the newbie type question
trying to comprehend the needed storage capacity for a documentary workflow. how much room in gigs does 1 hour of sd footage need? how much room in gigs does 1 hour of sony hdv sp footage from a ex1 need? The simple solution... Buy the largest fastest drives you can afford! Does your budget support multiple 750GB SATA drives in a RAID, a 1TB external drive with multiple interfaces, or a 300GB firewire drive? Also don't forget to factor a backup solution into your budget as well. |
