Motion - No File Browser Window
Greetings!
I have finally made the switch to FCS 2 after years on a trusty M100 - so I am pushing my way up the learning curve. I have run into an issue with Motion where the File Browser Window will not open. I have been back and forth between Motion and FCP numerous times today with no problems. I recently went back and opened Motion and the File Browser Window is not opening. I am running two monitors, and have tried switching back and forth with the default layouts and with the one I saved which spread the windows out over two monitors. I have also gone through the usual Window menu and choices to "show" file browser, but it does not come up. I am on a 2 x 3GHz machine running 10.5.2 and Motion is version 3.02. Also did all my software upgrades and fixed permissions. Any thoughts? Thanks! Dave |

David,
Go to Window>File Browser...or Cmd-1. Cheers WeeHan |

Hi WeeHan,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have tried both of these suggestions, as well as the File Browser button in the top portion of the viewer window - but the File Browser still does not open. I just restarted my machine after your reply, and still no success. Just to recap, I have tried going back to the default program layouts, as well as the one I created, updated all software, restarted numerous times, and repaired the permissions. Weird! |

David,
It looks like a reinstall might be in order. Sounds like something went south... Good luck, (another) David |

Really weird David! Looks like a reinstall is unavoidable.

forgive my ignorance - but this would be a reinstall of just Motion, yes?
Also, do I need to un-install before I reinstall? Thanks! |
