After Effects Render Error
I am getting an error message when I try to render out my HDV footage from After Effects CS3. The error message is as follows:
"After Effects error: opening movie – you do not have permission to open this file (-54). (44 :: 53)" This only happens when AE has been rendering for exactly 10 minutes. I have tried rendering in several codecs, and have received the same error message every time. The footage that I am trying to render is about 23 minutes in length. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Ryan |

I think the problem may be in your Quicktime... what version are you running? QT 7.4 causes this type of problem with AE, not letting you open files you create. Check this forum for instructions on how to reinstall Quicktime so you can stay below version 7.4.

Yes, I just did a bunch of reading and found out that Apple dropped the ball on the QT 7.4 update. Have searched some, but can't seem to find any answers on how to revert to 7.3.1. Can anybody please help me get an older version of QT on my machine? I am kind of in a pinch and need to get this to my client next week.
Ryan I have to say that I'm a little PO'd at Apple right now. Love apple and all, but this really screws me...... big time! |
