XL1s Import/Timeline 30p question
What settings are/were people using to have a 30p timeline for their XL1/s footage? I'm currently using a 60i timeline, but I shot in 30f, so I'd like to work that way so the titles can remain non-interlaced as well.
Alternatively, how can I make my titles with keyframed motion not show interlacing artifacts in a 60i timeline. I'd also like to know what settings folks are using to import their 30f footage. |

The xl1s does not shoot true progressive, so you would still be using the NTSC stream.

Right, because it still has to store it as the miniDV standard of 60i. I'm not as worried about that as I am about the interlaced nature of the timeline as dumping every other field in a 30f clip will still show the same thing.
So how do I get my titles to not show the interlaced combing when I keyframe their position. I hate interlaced timelines...Is there a way to create a 30p timeline in FCP? |

I don't currently have a camera that does 30p, but I'm going to guess that all you need to do is go into the project properties of your 60i project and change your field order to "none".
