Maybe you're another QT 7.4 victim? See my earlier post, nobody responded.
I was experiencing the same, with 5.1.4. I suspect QT 7.4 or OS X 10.4.11, though I don't find a lot of references about such problems on the internet. So last week, I reinstalled OS X, but left QT to version 7.2. Lower is not possible, since I would lose Ilife 8. Now the problems got partly solved - QT's export again, and I'm even capable of doing PAL conversion with compressor 2,3. However, I'm still not able to generate M2T files, as I did only a few weeks ago. Somewhere the muxing seems to be the problem, straight M2V's (without multiplex audio) don't crash. I think Apple wants us to upgrade to Leopard and FCP 6,0. Have they been looking at Microsoft? |
