What display should I buy? at DVinfo.net

I am looking at buying a new Macpro for video editing.

Trying to decide what I will need in the set up.

Can anyone advise on what monitor set up I should look at?

I would wait (like with everything else) until Macworld this upcoming week. Apple may release some new displays, since their displays are about as thick as their iMacs now. And if those are too pricey and there isn't that big of a quality boost, I would just go with a Dell monitor. Both Apple and Dell displays are made by the same people and aside from a few minor differences, they're basically the same. Aside from the fact that a Dell monitor is FAR cheaper. But wait until Macworld and see if these new monitors are irresistible.

And when it comes to size, if you have the money then go with one or two 30 inches. If you don't then go with the 23/24 inch displays. Honestly, I say you should just go to an Apple store and see for yourself. A 30 inch may even be a little too big for your taste.
