LTC on Audio Track
I'm finishing up a commercial shoot tomorrow where I am the sound mixer. The Panasonic HVX-200 is the camera being used. For the past three days, I have been feeding LTC timecode out from my Deva and placing this on channel 2 of the HVX-200 audio stream I am feeding him. We are using a TC slate, and during our test, we were able to replace the audio in FCP using the slate and timecode embedded in the audio files he imported from my Deva. However, he isn't sure how to let FCP know there is timecode on channel 2 of his audio. Is there a setting for this in Final Cut?
Thanks, Wayne

Under the Final Cut Pro menu, select Audio/Video Setting.
Go to Device Control Presets. Pick one that isn't locked so you can modify it. (Firewire NTSC Basic might work) Then click "Edit" and you can modify the Device Control Preset to swtich the read track from DV timecode to LTC (Longitudinal Time Code) Manual Volume IV - Chapter 27 - around page 351 |
