I'm in the process right now, still learning the basics.

However, I've noticed other than a few exceptions it's very intuitive. There are plenty of easy ways to do things, which greatly simplifies life. It's a program I could definitely get used to!

I went from Premiere Pro to Vegas and now to Final Cut Pro. Final Cut feels just like Premiere (and nothing like Vegas). It's easy enough to learn the basics, but getting up to speed - learning the keystrokes - and figuring out some of the details takes a bit of time.
Given the fact that Premiere and Final Cut Pro were originally designed by the same guy, the similarities in look & feel come as no surprise.

I did the switch about 6 months ago. I find that it is alot easier and actually more fun to cut in FCP than PP2. the learning curve is there, of course. But not as bad as trying to switch workflows on other systems. One good thing that I do love is that all of the programs in FCS2 work seamlessly together. But like anything it takes some getting used to. I would definitely recommend it tho.

Nothing like Vegas? Ooh I'm also considering to switch to FCPS2. I understand FCP doesnt work directly with m2t, is that true for the latest ver? Reason is i have a lot of m2t footage which I will need to port over some.. besides that I read some rumours of the new pending Mac Pro. Difficult time to make a decision but I really like an upgrade soon
