Anyone upgraded yet? Is it worth the additional cost? I've got an Africa trip coming up and am wondering if I should upgrade beforehand as I'll be shooting it in HD.
TIA! Brad |

Does your current Final Cut Express do everything you want? If so, then why not keep it? If it's missing something, then is that something included in version 4? The main changes are an Open Format Timeline (which won't be any use to you if you're just shooting HD), Built-in AVCHD (again, won't help you), and FxPlug effects and filters support (which may be of some use for you depending on what you're editing).
What version are you currently running? If you're running the original, then it may well be worth the update as a lot has changed since then. Personally, if you're serious about editing, I'd make the move over to Final Cut Studio. But if you're just cutting together home videos, then it's probably not worth the huge outlay. Hope this is of some help! Chris! |
