How to reset to the Original Settings
I have had a pop-up window after closing FCS saying the settings have been changed...and was asked to use either "Original Settings" or New Settings.
I chose new settings, but now somehow, I have to adjust all of the different audio, and video tracks individually on the timeline, instead of having the video track, and both audio tracks sliding and adjusting together. Is there a way to reset the settings, or is there a checkbox in "User Preferences," "System Settings," or anything? It is slowing my production down a LOT!!! Thanks! nearsightedproductions.com |

Linked Selection
If you want to move clips that were originally linked together press "shift L" to turn on linked selection. Then you will be able to move the A/V clips together as one. If they were not linked together originally, select the a video an audio clip in the timeline, choose modify from the menu bar, choose link from the drop down menu. There is a button on the timeline button bar that lights up green if linked selection is turn on.
To reset everything, (EVERYTHING). Navigate to your USER>LIBRARY>PREFERENCES >(delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist) then scroll down to (Final Cut Pro User Data), and delete Final Cut Pro Prof Cache, Obj Cache, 5.0 or 6.0 Prefs (3 Files) Save your favorite FX w/in a bin of a project before you do that. *e |
