"Multiclip blue markers not cutting" solution
I wrestled all night with the blue markers disappearing instead of cutting when I would hit the space bar after making the edits. I found that many people on different forums have hit this wall.
I had figured it was a cut selection thing, but didn't realize that you have to hold down the command key while hitting the number instead of just hitting numbers. If numbers aren't working, they're not selected. Hit Tools/Keyboard layout/Multi-camera Editing to use the number keypad for multiclip editing. Hope this helps someone. -Dana |

I don't want to be rude, but ya gotta read the manual.
You were switching angles, not making cuts. Hitting just the number without command switches angles, and as you found, WITH command makes cuts.

Custom Keyboard
If you don't want to hold the modifier key, just configure your keyboard so the "No Modifier Layout" cuts, and "command modifier layout" previews angle changes.

Nate,
When the manual didn't help I Googled it and realized that what I was doing was an easy and common mistake to make -- not holding down the option key. My post was to help someone else who might make the same mistake and not realize what they're missing. I get a lot of help from these forums and want to do more than ask questions. Eric, I set up a custom keyboard intuitive to my style. Customization is everything. |
