Making Anamorphic Sequence in FCP Standalone QT Movie 16:9

Seems like whatever I try I can't get an anamorphic sequence to turn out 16:9 when I make a QT Standalone in FCP. They always come out 4:3. I've used Current Settings, DV NTSC 48k Anamorphic and Custom settign, though I don't think I actually changed anything in the last.

Any ideas? Maybe try it in Compressor?

best,
lmr

That's normal. Your video is 4:3 and "flagged" as 16:9. Open the movie in quicktime hit apple+j and your properties open. Click presentation and check the box: "conform aperture to" you have a few choices there for playback.
You can now save your movie, and it will always play back wide.
