Credit panels looking weird in .m2v

Using FCS 2, I'm trying to create an .m2v file from an NTSC Anamorphic sequence using Compressor. Except for the credit panels all other text panels in the film including the film's title are fine. But the text panels for other credits (Boris Title 3D, as are all the others) have a weird doubling effect. It can be seen in this pic. http://elmerlang.com/TextPic.html

Any ideas?

thanks,
lmr

Elmer, try using compression markers around those parts of the original sequence. They essentially tell the encoder "hands off (forced I-frames)", leaving those areas more pristine.

Just a thought,

Very interesting, Greg! Do you mean bookend them with chapter markers? This is actually something I'm curious about in that is there an area that is left alone to the left and right of a chapter marker or...the bookending thing.

thanks for the info!

I put chapter markers around and on top of and no go still looks the same. It's so weird. Why didn't the other Boris Title 3Ds look weird, just the ones at the beginning and end.

I also tried redoing the awry credits with a good one as the substitute and same problem.

Arg!
