Lost FCP File
My G5 just went down & I had to re-install os x. My fcp files were saved but when I try to open them. I get a General Error (41). Anyone know what that is? Anyway for me to open these files? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good ol' Mac errors.
"Warning: Error -4509." ...great. Sorry, no. What exactly is the issue? The "files" are clips? Projects? I assume that you did reinstall FCP already, so that won't help. My best guess is that you downloaded/installed an update at some point and now you can't read the files. So, use the Software Update (accessible through the Apple menu) to see if you can update FCP (and/or OSX). (I'm talking about a small update, like 5.1.3 to 5.1.4, etc.) |

Very strange. I have no idea.
My suggestion is googling the exact error message to see if it pops up as a question on any forums. I have looked for similar queries in the past and there is usually some result that has at least an idea of what direction to go. |
