Wrong setting in FCP?

So I'm trying to incorporate pictures into a video for my church, but there's a minor problem. The pictures, which are clear as day, look really crappy once I see them in my monitor. It's like as soon as they hit the FCP timeline, FC punches it in the face and it just doesn't try anymore. Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere. Did I acidentally check a "make my pictures look crappy" box? Does anyone else have this problem?

Just out of curiosity, do you have Final Cut Studio 2?

Did you try rendering them?

They're rendered. I'm on FCS, not 2.

I don't know. I have done pictures through Motion 2, so I get to be creative with spins, throws, rattles, and the likes.

I have noticed also, that once on the timeline, the pics don't look so great...on the other hand, when I have exported the movie(Quicktime, AVI, or whatever)they look just fine, and normal as day.

Hope I helped, and check out my new website. I do EVERYTHING on my MacBook Pro, never used a mac desktop.

nearsightedproductions.com

Also, I do use FCS 5.1.4
