Archives to DV files
Hi, I volonteer for a non profit organization. We have hundreds of tapes (vhs, Umatic, dvcam, betacam) and we want to digitize everythin. We have the new Imac and Final Cut Studio 2.
How should we capture and archive? Quicktime , H.264, mpeg2, other? The goal is to keep the quality as good as possible. Thanks for your advices. |

I'd imagine uncompressed, but I may be wrong.
However you DEFINITELY want to store all that externally. I'd hate to spend the countless hours importing all of that and then your iMac crashing. |
