Print out nightmare
I've shot some footage with a Sony Z1 in HDV, I've captured it using FCP 5 and now i want to play it out to the Z1 and record it in mini DV format. This has worked easily for me in the past but now my Z1 is only recording blue screen. No doubt it's one single setting, but I've spent two days trying to work out what's wrong and can't find the answer.
In the past I found the settings through trial and error but now I need some help. If someone could provide me with the FCP settings, or the Z1 settings or both, I'd greatly appreciate it. Leslie |

Hi Leslie and welcome to DVinfo! First you will need to drop your footage into a regular DV sequence since the camera can't downconvert as it records over firewire. See this thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=101511
Then you just need to set the Z1 VCR mode to DV instead of HDV and you should be good to go. |
