A loss of connectivity between Final Cut Pro and DV camera

Hello,

Lost connection between FCP and DV camera. I checked around this site and found the information from Boyd about this problem.
I printed the info and followed instruction. Still no connection.
My system is MAC OS X 10.3 SDK. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help

check your cable and make sure its not bad.try another cable. you could also try trahsing your FCP preferences
the worst would be you may have blown your firewire port on the camera.
