FCP X won't import from my card reader
I use a Sonnet SxS card reader to import material from my camera into FCP X. I use it virtually on a daily basis and have had no problems whatsoever.
But today FCP X wouldn't see the SxS card in the reader. Normally it automatically imports the material as soon as I put the card into the reader. I tried rebooting my Macbook Pro, etc but to no avail. The card reader comes up on the Desktop, but even if I try to import the material by using Cmd I, FCP X isn't listing the card reader. I know there isn't a problem with the card reader because I also have a second editing system (Avid) on the laptop and that imports the material fine. So, I'm a bit baffled as it was working yesterday and I'm not aware of any changes to the laptop, etc. Any ideas?? Thanks MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5) |

What happens if you copy the entire SxS card to your desktop, then point FCPX at it?

Re: FCP X won't import from my card reader
Tried other cards and they work. So, maybe a problem with this one card. Don't understand why as I've used it numerous times before. Maybe if I format it first and then try it again, it'll be ok?
