syncing audio
Can you sync audio only wav with a movie clip in fcpx. I filmed a theatrical performance where board feed didn't work. I got the music on a cd but didn't have the time to figure if or how to do it. so i manually did it.

Re: syncing audio
Pete,
I think most audio CD's are 44000khz but that could be problematic. You can convert 44 to 48 using itunes, or Quicktime I believe. FCP likes 48000khz audio. What are you syncing music to? We need more information. Jonathan |

Re: syncing audio
CD audio is fine. Just transfer the track to your event folder. There are several ways to synchronize the audio. Using the synchronize clip command might work depending on the video files you have. If it does you will then have a clip that you can use like a normal video clip. You can also manually synchronize the audio by creating a project adding the video file and then connecting the audio file. Using the visual audio waveform on the project timeline you can sync up the audio file exactly. If you have multiple video files that are not continuos you can add black clips and adjust their length until the next clip syncs up with the audio track. Once that is done, perhaps muting the video file's audio track, select both track and create a compound clip. You will now have a clip that you can edit like a regular video clip.
