FCPX audio sync issues with YouTube
Hey!
When exporting directly to YouTube from FCPX or uploading any file exported from FCPX, the audio is out of sync on YouTube. The issue, with a work around is described here: Audio/Video issues with .MOV and .MP4 - YouTube Help But it's such a pain to have to go through those extra steps, generating extra files etc. As it works great on Vimeo, it must be an YouTube issue. Anyone know if there's a fix? Or how to contact YouTube/Google and demand they fix it. Cheers DZ |

Re: FCPX audio sync issues with YouTube
As long as you don't mind doing the actual upload to YouTube manually, you can create a compressor preset and tag it as a new destination target in FCP X. That way, you select that (new) target instead of YouTube and you end up with your compatible file in one step.
The only extra step is the manual upload, which frankly I would always do anyway. You should be watching media through before pushing it on the world, so that if there's an error, you don't have to wait until it's already uploaded and live!
