Archiving and access.
Hi. Im having a problem that I hope you may be able to help me with.
I am archiving my projects and events to the server. I copy the contents of the P&E folders from my local drive into the P&E folders on the server. when I go to the server and try to open "CurrentVersion.fcpproject" the dialog says I cant open. what am i doing wrong? Also, does having many projects in the library slow down the whole machine? Thanks in advance David |

Re: Archiving and access.
While this Apple Help article isn't about archiving, the process of copying a Project to another drive is similar or maybe even the same.
FCPX uses a database and unless all the pieces are there the video won't be complete. Maybe that is the problem, that some piece(s) were not transferred, or, were transferred to the wrong place. Just a guess. http://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/ma...3/#verb8e5fcf4 On the sidebar to the left near the bottom is "Create and manage camera archives". Maybe this would be of help. |
