FCPX Archive from tape audio issue on older tapes
I have been using the archive feature in FCPX to import HDV tapes shot on my XHa1 and everything has gone as expected... until I put in some older tapes shot in the late 80's, early 90's, and some were transfers from VHS tapes shot in the mid-seventies. The audio is not coming through, although it's there on the XHa1 meter's and I can adjust the volume on the camera. After trying a couple of the older tapes I put back in one of the more recent and the audio was fine.
I'm questioning whether it's related to FCPX; or more likely some adjustment I need to make. Any thoughts appreciated- thanks! |

Re: FCPX Archive from tape audio issue on older tapes
Is there no audio after you import clips from the archive into an Event in FCPX?
I've had issues with standard def miniDV tapes where if I create an archive from the tape, and then view the clips in that archive in the finder (right click > show package contents) the clips have no audio when opened in quicktime. However if I open that archive inside of FCPX and then import into an event, the audio is there. |
