No. Apple doesn't do public pre-release. Some might comment that the answer is "iMovie" but I'll reserve cynicism for release.

But welcome to the cult anyway. Watch your email for the secret handshake instructions, the message containing the best ways to hide the massive amount of money you'll instantly be making once you install this on your computer, and how to conceal the budding feelings of relief as you notice day by day that all that stuff you've long been hearing from the other side about "too expensive, not professonal enough, and my favorite, not nearly as good as the software *I* use chorus - fades away to a distant roar. Oh, and let us know when you reach the "what took me so long" realization. That's when the fun really begins. ; )

Final Cut X has been promised a June 2011 ship date so that from today there is just a maximum of 26 days to wait for the final version. We are way past any beta release timetable now.

Was hoping for some kind of update (even just a shipping date would be nice) at WWDC, but they're back to their usual silent selves. Didn't they say at the sneak preview there would be more info forthcoming?
It'll just show up in the app store one of these days, I guess. |

My guess is that it might be released June 21st or there abouts, as it's being presented by Larry Jordan at the London Supermeet.
