The form factor of this camera is amazing, whether over-the-shoulder or on a base, the controls are where they "should be" and most features can be access with direct switches/buttons rather than being buried in menus.

I’m selling my used Steadicam Arm & Vest, which includes:
- 2 section arm

- Merlin post

Plus some add-ons
- Berkley System’s Glidecam adapter post
- Buckles upgrade. Gets rid of the noisy Velcro system (I’m still including the original Velcro straps).
- Rolling carrying case

The arm’s elbow piece was bent about ¼” but I sent it to Tiffen to have it repaired, I continued using it after the repair and it works perfectly. The kit shows some signs of wear, but like all Steadicam products, they are built to last and it is working just as new.

I was just writing about the lack of HDMI to feed the external recorders, but apparently you have just updated the post to add the StarTech Converter info. However, you may wish to link a different converter model that has analog audio in - TOSLINK is not going to work with your camera.

It's in flawless condition, no scratches, built beautifully. Never used on a shoot. It was bought for a documentary shoot but the DP for that project came with his own unit. I have another follow-focus, this one is still sitting in a box. No sense in buying a brand new one, this one is in perfect and widely sought after as the best bang for the buck in its class at the full retail price.

The turning motion is silky smooth and exact. I do like the quick release design which offers easy mounting on and off anywhere along the rails. It can also be flipped to allow reverse rotation which is useful for Nikon lenses. Works fine with DSLR cameras such as the 5D. There are two optional pitch gears 0.5 and 0.6 pitch gears are included with this package which will allow a wide range of lenses to be used with this system.
