Fujinon HA13x4.5BERM-M58B
Hi all,
This is my personal lens. Owner/operator, purchased new and meticulously maintained. Never subrented. Shows minimal signs of wear and is mechanically perfect. This is a great documentary lens and also can be used on PL cameras with the B4 to PL adaptor from AbelCine. Here's the link to auction: Fujinon HA13X4 5BERM M58B | eBay Thanks! Peter |

Lenovo i7-16GB Laptop for Editing
I bought this last year when I was doing a lot of field work, and needed editing on the road. It's got 16GB RAM, 500GB HD, a replacement tray for the DVD that allows you to put another HD into it, I am also throwing in the docking station, a great add on that includes two DVI or HDMI ports to allow multiple monitors when you work from a desk. While the video card (a nVidea 1000M) isn't list on Adobe's support list, I've modified the support file per the online hack that has been well documented, and I've been able to use Premiere, et al with no problems.I have also used Vegas 11 on it in single monitor mode with no problems. The laptop is a bit heavy for daily walking around use, but is capable of handling anything you can throw at it. It also has USB 3.0 ports so you can plug in a card reader and download in the field quickly. Starting bid has to be $1000, and I've put a buy it now price of $1400.

Re: Lenovo i7-16GB Laptop for Editing
Some folks wrote to ask about the ports on this. The machine has a Firewire 400 (I don't think it's 800), on the left side, along with the eSata and USB 3.0 ports I've actually hooked up Mac drives using a utility that reads/writes them using it. It also has USB 3.0 ports, (I've never actually tried two 3.0 USBs on it at once, though I assume they all work. The specs say the two on the left side are 3.0 and the one on the back is 2.0 powered. When you plug it into the docking station, you get a bunch more USB ports, and you can plug your eSata external drive(s) into it for permanent use. On the right side it has an expresscard port for additional expansion, and it has an SD card reader.
The machine really is a full functioning 'desktop' replacement. Marry it up to either a smartphone or a tablet and you have a pretty useful small setup, able to do great work on location, including fast file transfers of cards. |

Re: Manfrotto video monopod, head, dolly + more
Damn, that 701RC2 is getting rare in these days. A great piece of a head. I use one on a daily basis. It are ideal heads for people that do both Photo and Video with their DSLR. It is one of the last quality semi-fluid heads (though it gives the feeling of a fluid head!) that don't use a sliding plate. Sliding plates are a plague to still photographers and this 701 RC2 is the best available compromis on the market. With just a DSLR+lens it is ideally balanced as well. I love mine since day 1.

Re: Manfrotto video monopod, head, dolly + more
Thanks, yeah it is a very good head. I had used it during the 2011 wedding season with a Sony NX5. No issues balancing. Last season I used it with a 600D and a Tamron 17-50 2.8 (plus a led light and a Zoom H4n on a home made bracket! might try to put a pic up). Held that nicely.
No longer shooting video which is why I am selling all this kit. |
