Going Tapeless with GL2

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should look into for going tapeless with my GL2?

I shoot alot of material for bands and what not and tapes have become an annoyance, I have plenty of hard disk space at home, but i'd like to shoot to disc,
any suggestions?

I have an FS-4 and it works fine with the GL-2. They've announced an FS-4 specifically for Canon (FS-4C I think) but I don't see the need for it. The smallest FS-4 will hold just under 3 hours. You have to set DV Control ON in the camera, and TAPELESS on the FS-4 and it all seems to work.

To transfer to the PC, you have to have DD mode on in the FS-4. I set the function buttons on the unit so it's only a single button push to set tapeless mode and another single button push to set the transfer to PC mode.

The FS-4 files show up directly from your PC. I only shoot relatively short clips (at most a minute or two each) so haven't run into any issue of the FS-4 breaking a long clip up into multiple files.

FS-4 breaks file up at 9:18 or so due to a 2 GB file size limit. I've never had a problem with the split files. Otherwise....."Yeah, what Jim said!"

I have 3 FL-2s and 3 FS and they work great!
