P2 workflow almost there, need to format at DVinfo.net

Folks,
After downloading the driver from Panasonic, I was finally able to get the Duel P2 adapter to work on my MacBookPro running 10.5.8. I can mount cards, download clips with FCP, yadda yadda yadda. Joy at last.

Now I need to be able to erase/reformat the cards in the computer before returning them to the cameras (3 hour shoot requires cycling cards through the three cameras). I downloaded Panasonic's P2 Formatter app, but it comes up blank. I can see the card on the desktop, FCP can see the card and get clips off of it, but P2 Formatter is completely blind to it.

Internet searches on the topic have not been helpful, i.e "reformat in the camera".

What am I doing wrong?
