Fostex FR2 digital field recorder and Mac audio software
Hi
I have recently aquired a Fostex FR2 digital field recorder, wich I have not yet used since I am still waiting for two Audio Technica microphones: AT825 and AT835B...I intend to use them in my video projects. And the question is: Fostex FR2 generates BWF, broadcast wav files, the only audio software I have to edit audio is Soundtrack in Final Cut Pro 4, does this software support this kind of audio files? If it does not support them, wich software does? If you have any insight about FR2 and the microphones I mentioned, please share it. |

Hi Pedro,
I think you are posting in the wrong area here. I'm not such a audio specialist, but from my experience with FCP, I would say that you shouldn't have any problem importing the wav files into FCP or Soundtrack. But post your question in the "Non-linear DV Editing on the Mac" http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=30 forum, or "Now Hear This" http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=53 forum. (Although I don't know if that would be considered cross-posting)... ... That would be cross-posting so don't do that. Maybe a friendly moderator will move this post to a better location for you. Good luck. |
